All votes were "one vote/one gym".  When coaches signed in they were asked to put their current e-mail for better communication within the state.

I.          Formal financial statement was not provided.  However, there were only 4 checks written and that list was passed around.  There were four outstanding bills that finally got paid since Barry Pruett finally was able to acquire a checkbook for the men's state gymnastics program.  There were no objections to this report.  Barry Pruett noted that the state was financially down just a little this year due to less participation within the state.  Urged everyone to compete more in Indiana next year to help the finances.

II.          Previous Minutes were not available.  Barry Pruett noted that they could be located on the webpage.

III.         Judges in Indiana

            A.        Paying for their judging course - once a judge has judged two meets, the state will reimburse them for the cost of the judging course.

            B.        Judging Clinic in the Summer of 2006 (June/July) - Barry Pruett asked if there was any interest.  There was none.

            C.        Judging Course - sometime in October/November probably held at Indy School.  Barry Pruett urged everyone to get people interested.  We need more judges.  Asked for those coaches having Seniors to try to convince them to do it.  Chad noted that one of his seniors from last year was going to do it, but the new rules were too much.

IV.        State Clinic 2006 - not sure of date.  Since 2005 was suppose to invite the gymnasts and that state clinic never happened, this year the gymnast's will be invited to attend.  Chad Ford said that DeVeau's would be willing to host that Clinic.  No one opposed to that idea. The date will be decided upon after consulting a schedule after Regional Championships.

V.        Future Stars Clinic - around November 14th/15th

            A.        Each state can send one coach to CO and will have guaranteed bed at training camp.

            B.        State pay airfare? - Yes, USAG will pay hotel for one coach.

            C.        Who do we want to send? - Jeff Greene nominated Billie Jamison to go.  Billie accepted nomination.  Stanley Chinyerere 2nd the motion.  Was passed unanimously.

VI.        Region 5 Camp - Ann Arbor, MI

            A.        Gymnasts qualify to go to

            B.        Usually in July - don't know date for sure.

            C.        Gene Watson noted that he was in charge of the camp and any coach can attend.  Just let him know.  However, he also noted that if you attend, he will put you to work.

VII.       State Meet

            A.        When - Date will be set at the meeting held during State Clinic.

            B.        Where - Only one bid: Gene Watson of Indy School.  Since only one bid, Indy School will host 2007 State Meet.

VIII.      There was a little discussion on the moving of meet dates due to the change of Circle of Stars date and Indy School's newly attained State Meet.  Gene noted that it would be too much for his parents to host State meet two weeks after when he normally has one.  Barry Pruett and Barry Ruhl discussed Judges Cup.  The date for that will be the weekend before Thanksgiving.  The Judges Course will be on Saturday and  "Jr meet" will be held on Sunday.  The full competition schedule will be decided upon at Fall meeting.

IX.        Nominations for Elections for Board

            A.        State Chairman - Jeff Greene agreed to take over the position since Barry wanted to step down

            B.        Vice-Chairman - Barry Pruett nominated Bo Morris, Dennis Winslow 2nd.  Passed unanimously

            C.        Treasurer - Barry Pruett stepped into previously unfilled position

            D.        Secretary/Webmaster - Sonja Rupe

            E.        Indiana Technical Director/Judging Assignor - Zach Gagnon agreed to take over position since Eric Gaspard
                       can no longer do it.

X.        Elections - see above

XI.        Open Discussion

Barry Pruett started open discussion asking how everyone liked awards at State.  Noted the cost of banners and awards.  Also noted he orders the same amount each year opposed to trying to calculate it.  The medals are the same from year to year, so it works.

Bo Morris made a motion that any level that can qualify to go to Regionals to compete at State Meet in modified capital cup format to prepare them better for Regionals.  Chad 2nd...passed unanimously.

Discussion on the 2 judge panel from the Level 10 session was had.  It was noted that it took too long to get through.  Gene Watson noted that it was hard on the gymnasts, Chad Ford agreed.  Chad noted if it were balanced out better, it might have worked better.  Barry Pruett noted they did it to help the gymnasts get ready for Regionals.  It was suggested that levels 7-10 all be in one session with all six events running with a 2 judge panel.  No vote was held, just discussion.

Gene Watson made an announcement that he in on the JO National Team Coaching Staff NOT the Compulsory Committee.  Requested if you have questions for that committee to NOT email him.  He has opinions, but that's all they are.

Sonja Rupe noted the submissions to the webpage were pretty good this year.  Keep sending info.

XII.        Meeting was adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
