State
Clinic:
The state clinic will be held at Interactive
Gymnastics Academy on September 20-21.
The tentative schedule is
Saturday September
20 Morning Golfing somewhere
Saturday September
20 2pm-6pm Coaches Clinic and State Meeting
Saturday September
20 After 6pm BBQ and socializing
Sunday September
21 9am-4pm Gymnasts Clinic
If you did not receive information on the clinic,
email me at bpruettkim@aol.com ASAP!
The entries need to be in by September 1st so that we can group the kids
and order T-shirts. We will have 8
clinicians doing the 6 events plus presentation and trampoline. Also, email me at bpruettkim@aol.com if
you are interested in golfing. So far,
it is just me and Jeff Greene!
State
Meeting:
The coaches clinic on September 20th will double as
the state meeting. I have been getting a
lot of emails about the schedule. Please
bring dates for your meets so that we can plan out the state schedule together. If we do the schedule at the same time and
place, we can avoid having more than one meet a weekend. With a shortage of judges in Indiana, one
meet a weekend is plenty. If you will
not Attend, please forward requests to me by September 1st, so that we can get
the schedule finalized.
State
judging Course:
Rick Atkinson is starting the first ever Region 5
Judges Symposium. The symposium will
be held in Indiana October 4-5 near Fort Wayne.
This symposium will be the State judging course. There will be no other course in Indiana this
year. The schedule is
Saturday October
4 8am Golf Outing—2 man scramble (only $25!)
Saturday October
4 2pm National Judging Course
Sunday October
5 8am JO Judging Course
If you are interested in judging in Indiana, please
consider taking the National Course and the JO course. We are in desperate need of quality judges in
Indiana. Meet directors in Indiana spend
a lot of money paying to have judges brought in from other states for their
meets. At the state meeting, we can discuss the state paying the difference in
costs for first time national course takers from Indiana. I think that this is the number one issue
that we need to take care of. Further,
in January 2005 there will be another FIG course, and I would like to take a
delegation from Indiana. Taking the
national course this year will be the first step in the process of getting a
FIG rating in 2005. I will help anyone
who is willing to take the FIG course with me in 2005. Please call Rick Atkinson at 517-355-1633 in
order to get the detailed information on the judging symposium or email me at bpruettkim@aol.com
and I can fax it to you. Rick needs to
know if you are attending no later than September 15th!
