Holds and good execution play a very important part.  GPA and the stick bonuses are very important as well.  If attempting a developmental D, make sure it is done within the specified criteria according to replacements pages #23-24 in the JO program manual as well as the latest JO update (#11).

GPA was awarded to eight out of 90 routines or 8%.

The stick bonus (for a C or higher value dismount) was awarded 0 of 90 routines.

A lot of short holds on the ‘L’, handstands and strengths.  Make sure those skills are held, 2 seconds.

If attempting a developmental D, make sure it is done within the specified criteria according to replacements pages #23-24 in the JO program manual as well as the latest JO update (#11).  Execution is very important as well.  It is not worth getting the difficulty if form is sacrificed.

Hope this is beneficial, and good luck to all coaches and gymnasts of Region V at JO Nationals this year.
