2000 REGION V SPRING MEETING MINUTES

 

I.                     Meeting called to order at 9:25 p.m.

Roll call:                 Dave Forester – Ohio

                                Mark Diab – Illinois

                George Krenk – Michigan

                                Bob Witmer – Regional Director

                                Doug Burton – Kentucky (absent)

II.                   Motion to accept Fall meeting minutes:

III.                 Motion to accept Financial report:

IV.                 Motion to accept paying airfare for regional gymnast to Africa, once, and not buying jackets for our coaches attending nationals:

                                                                Motion fails

Motion to not purchase jackets for coaches attending nationals and keep the money for future development of our gymnasts:

V.                   At Fall meeting we will make adjustments to new rules within our region.  (Example:  No 16 – 18 age group class II).

VI.                 State Chairs’ WILL send Kelly Crumley’s Regional V Tactical Plan to all coaches within their state in order to get feedback to be discussed at Fall meeting.

 

Motion for Bob Witmer to put together a list of potential judges, coaches and clinicians, (for submission at Fall meeting), for clinics in place of regional developmental meets.  (The State Chairs’ will forward names from their state to Bob who they feel worthy to be on the list).
