August 14, 2008 -- Region V Future Stars Preparation Workshop
Indy School of Gymnastics -- September 12-14, 2008.   The Region V Coaching Staff will be conducting a “Future Stars Preparation Workshop” on September 12-14, 2008. The workshop is open to anyone wishing to participate in the USAG Future Stars Program or would like to learn more about it. This event has been specifically designed for Coaches, Gymnasts, and Parents.   For more info, CLICK HERE!

Summer Updates:

Thank you to Zach Gagnon and Geist Sports Academy for putting on a successful new compulsory routine clinic. There were roughly twelve coaches in attendance and Zach was able to pass along information he had learned at the National Clinic. Zach was able to impart the information from a gymnast, coach, and judges point of view.

The summer is going quickly and the clinic is right around the corner. We have been working on firming up the guest clinician and should have an announcement in the next couple of days. We wanted to give everyone a heads up and we will be e-mailing the final schedule and registration form hopefully as early as tomorrow. Tee shirts will be included for free to all participants if you register your teams early enough to allow for sizing and production (roughly 2 weeks before the clinic). Once that order is in, it will be too late to get a shirt.

Rough Schedule as follows;
Saturday, August 23rd Gymnasts and Coaches Clinic from 1-6pm
Sunday, August 24th Coaches Clinic 9-12pm
Sunday, August 24th IN State Coaches Meeting 12-1pm

USA Gymnastics 2008 Region 5 Congress
Site Sheraton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites
Date September 26-28
Fee $145 early registration

USAG is putting on the 2008 Region 5 Congress in Indianapolis. The purpose of the congress is to provide education to teachers, coaches, judges, gym owners in Region 5. There will be Men's & Women's Coaches Education, Judges, Recreational, Business, Rhythmic, and Sports Science Education. Bo Morris has been put in charge of lining up the clinicians for the Men's Coaches. The list, schedule, and more info should be out very soon.
