top seven gymnasts in the national team points ranking system used
at the 2009 Winter Cup Challenge; and selection by the Men’s Program
Committee. The members of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team that won the
team bronze medal who petitioned for a spot on the team are: Artemev,
Bhavsar, Hagerty, Horton, Spring and Tan. The seven gymnasts who
qualified based on the national team points ranking system from the

COACHES INFORMATION -- MAJORLY IMPORTANT!!!
-- Per Jim Leo...At a recent teleconference with the
AGCC, 2 important points were made.
1. At JO Regionals and JO Nationals, any unlisted
skill will only receive a value of "A" and no
Element Group credit. Although this has been in the
JO Rules for awhile, judges in previous competitions
have at, times, made unauthorized evaluations of
unlisted skills leading the coaches to believe that
they would get the same value in subsequent
competitions. This is not true. The correct process
is the coach needs to submit the skill for
evaluation to Jeff Robinson and/or the skills
committee. Only then will he be assured of getting
the desired value and EG credit.
2. There is an official inquiry form which will be
used at JO Nationals. Only inquiries on the
official form will be accepted. It is suggested that
they filled these forms out before hand so they can
be submitted in a timely fashion if and when they
need to make an inquiry. They need to write out the
entire routine, not just the skills which they
believe will be counted for difficulty and/or EG
credit. I would like to use this form at JO
Regionals. I will ask for it to be posted on here
once I receive it.
Thanks,
Jim
3-23-07....Coaches...
Please help us out by
remembering that when completing Regional entry
forms we need you to designate how you want your
teams entered in the team competition. For example,
by age group and/or combined ages. A separate team
fee is required for each choice. Please refer to
the age group designations on our website OR
click
here.
Please contact Al Scharns or the undersigned if you
have any questions.
